Echo Echo

Echo Echo was my solo project- an immersive installation reflecting the nature of consumerist culture and its impact on the environment.  When you enter the room, a bright light shines at you and you see yourself in the large mirror at the end of the room and then you notice the mannequin.  As you move around and your eyes adjust, you see more.

The creature in the tank represents our trophy-isation and consumption of nature, of other.  The mannequin is you and me and it’s a bit The Emperor’s New Clothes.
