My first street art, made to coincide with the 2017 Castlemaine State Festival in Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia. I was unaware of the festival's submission dates last year, so I missed it! :( Not to be deterred, I went ahead and made something for it anyway ;)
This work, Scale #1 and Scale#2, is a continuation of my ongoing series, Ways of Seeing. The title of the series pretty much speaks for itself, or so I hope! It's not an original title- John Berger wrote and co-created an immensely influential television series called Ways of Seeing, which aired in 1972 and was later adapted into a book of the same name.
I appropriated the title as I use this work to inform my own perspectival explorations using photography and video.
Photos taken by the supertalented artist-writer-illustrator Rachel Claire, my willing partner in crime that night. Thanks Rachel! xx
Woohoo! I got accepted for Maribyrnong City Council’s Artist in Residency program for the Artsbox 2017! My first residency- how exciting!
For three weeks in the month of December, 2017, with a little help from the community, I'll be in Footscray at the Artsbox creating an installation that reflects the diversity and cohesion of the City of Maribyrnong.
More details to follow closer to the time ;)
